My game did that for a while after the .200 update but it finally went away.
We're experiencing the same issue on a BDS. Sometimes chests have items in them, sometimes they're empty, but every time they crash the server if someone opens one. I have to go into creative mode to delete the chest. Thankfully any contents inside are not lost during the process. We crashed twice in a row yesterday. Please fix asap.
The MCPE text that has a line through it is that way because those issues are duplicates of other issues or resolved.
It looks like your world may be corrupt. Do you have a backup of it before the update? Can you revert to the previous version and see if it still works?
I run a BDS server. Prior to the 1.16.100 update, it took about 6-8 people on at one time to lag out our world, and that was with a lot of redstone builds in it. Prior to the update our server would run around 30% of CPU power with one player on and increase as the number of players joining increased, but rarely went over 100% unless there were 6-8 players on.
We started a new world when the update came out and now the server CPU pegs out at 100% with one player on and the block lag is nearly unbearable. There's a ton of other general lag issues as well, IE. smelting takes forever even in blast furnaces and smokers, grass takes forever to grow, sheep take forever to get their wool back, fishing is noticeably laggy when reeling in a catch, etc.
I've been monitoring the CPU's activity during certain instances and I've noticed a couple of things since the update:
1. Going through a portal will force the CPU to use 1000% plus of it's power.
2.Flying with Elytra causes undulating "waves" of lag spikes well over 200% of CPU power.
3. With zero players on the server runs at 2-3% CPU.
4. Running through the Nether causes undulating spikes in the CPU.
5. Sometimes mining with UB3 pickaxe causes undulating spikes in the CPU.
We are on a server set up by a small provider. We do not share the hardware with others. Our hardware specs:
Intel Core i9 9900K up to 5.0 Ghz
Unlimited NVMe SSD
DDR4 ECC Ram 2133/2400mhz
I'm experiencing the same thing as Alex Mercer above.
Villagers disappear after going to bed. If I log out and log back in, they reappear or if I walk away some distance and come back they reappear. I've also see this happen with an entire village. I came across the village that looked active but there were no villagers in it. This was before I realized they were disappearing. Another player went to the same village later and all the villagers were there.
Is this the same issue or do we need to open a new ticket?
Same. Windows PC on a BDS Server
Affects 1.16.100 on Windows PC. My off hand disappears when holding a map as well.
I can confirm this is now happening on PC and on BDS servers. Even if you're not in direct line of site to the person opening the shulker it causes the game to freeze and must be restarted.
Along the same lines as the game freezing issue:
I witnessed a player standing on a shulker, then when another player opened the shulker the player standing on the shulker appeared to teleport across the room as the shulker opened and then teleported back as the shulker closed. The player on the shulker did not experience the teleportation.
I'm not sure if this is related and if not, I'm glad to open a new ticket, but we've been having issues with parrots disappearing on our server as well as traded and locked villagers loosing their trades and attaching to random work stations.
With the parrot issue, I and other players travel through their portals into the nether while their parrots are sitting in their bases. The parrot or parrots (sometimes multiple) then appear on the players shoulder after they've crossed into the Nether. When this happened to me, I was unable to remove the parrot at my portal in order to send it back through so I sat it down and went into our spawn portal. When I came back my parrot was gone, and oddly, so was my parrot that was still at my base. (My base mate's parrots were still there but were no longer sitting and were flying around.) The same issue happens with other players although in some instances, when those players have found their parrots in the Nether, they have taken them off their shoulder and let them fly through the portal while they walk through, at which time the parrots disappear. Often those parrots reappear minutes, hours or days later at the players base. (My parrots have never reappeared. It's been over a week)
Regarding the villager issue: My base mate accidently brought the bad omen to our base. After defeating the raid I went to trade with my villagers and noticed my Unbreaking III villager was now a fishermen. I thought maybe it had died during the raid and the village had spawned a fresh villager who just grew up fast...lol I reset him back to an Unbreaking III and traded with him. A few days later I went back to trade again and he was once again a fishermen. Furthermore, another villager had also lost it's trades and was also a fishermen.
I'm not sure if this is the same issue because I'm on the 1.16.1 update but I stood for a full night cycle at the top of a building in a plains area and not a single, solitary hostile mob spawned and we're on hard level. Tried again today and stood on top of a tree. Nothing. Hostile mobs are spawning like crazy in the new nether, but nothing in the overworld.
This is the only report I've found on this issue and it's not for the released version so I'm gonna make a new bug report.
I've had several players complain about the same issue. They are right clicking correctly and the glowstone light decreases as expected but when they die they're respawing in the overworld. I have 138 levels, but I'll sacrifice myself today to verify and report back. 🙂
I haven't noticed the proximity damage issue, I'll watch for that today, but I can attest the amount of damage done is excessive. I thought it was because they buffed them and we're in hard mode but if you're having the same issues in easy maybe it is a bug.
Can confirm buttons work in place of pressure plates when placed where the pressure plate would normally go.
This is not a bug in Bedrock, it's part of their loot table and an advertised barter drop.
Magma Cube's are also spawning on half slabs placed on the bottom.
Too expensive means you’ve enchanted the item or repaired it with diamonds as much as it can be enchanted/repaired and has nothing to do with how many levels you have.
it’s always best to combine books before enchanting, limit the number of times you repair with diamonds and if you use the table first, try not to use a book with the same enchantment the item already has when adding other enchantments.
This has been the way portals link for a very long time. It doesn’t always happen, but it is an expected outcome. I almost exclusively build all the portals on our server/Realm and we’re in Season 5.
We're having the same issue on our Realm, although strangely, random players are being assigned operator status instead of the one chosen by the Realm owner. It appears as though whomever is the person listed directly below the Admin is the person who is given the operator status, even when that person hasn't been chosen. Unfortunately, the only way to take the operator status away from that player is to remove him/her from the Realm?! With all that said, the Operator status isn't working regardless of who ends up getting the assigned task.
Okay, I don't know if we have a new bug or if this bug is different but we are having a fatal issue with a bug similar to this in that people are spawning under the world and instantly dying or they appear to be spawning appropriately but once they are fully into the world you can actually see their name fall through the world where they die. This has occurred, primarily, after an active player has been disconnected from the Realm although it has happened upon spawning into the world.
We are a multiplayer Realm, hosted on a PC but the majority of players use Xbox. We are using the updated Chroma Hills texture pack on 1.12.0. This bug has occurred with three different players, all Xbox One players, which means it's not "uncommon". In one instance this has happened to the same player two separate times, three days apart.
1. In the first instance the player is kicked or disconnected from the Realm.
The player is playing normally, there is minimal lag, there are several players on at the time. The player begins to experience a delay in block's breaking or "freezing" moments during game play. Player then becomes unable to break blocks, pick up blocks, etc. Player is then disconnected from server. Player respawns and immediately dies because they have respawned under the world. Death message says "player fell out of the world".
The player was mining during both instances and could have been over lava at the time, however they were standing on solid blocks in a mining tunnel. (During the second occurrence of this issue, the player was mining with a second player who saw the first player spawn in and watched as the players gammer tag rapidly descended through the blocks and out of the world) Player was on Xbox One.
2. In the second instance the player was at another players mob grinder and the same early issues occurred. Unable to break blocks, "freezing" moments, limited lag, several players on at the time. Xbox one player.
The player was standing at the mob grinder watching another player operate the grinder when they were disconnected from the Realm. Upon respawn the player was seen to be spawning into a block below the spot they were originally standing. The player who was operating the grinder attempted to break the block that was surrounding the spawning players head but was unable to interact with it. The player logged out and when they logged back in, they logged in over ten blocks above where they had previously been standing. Although they did not spawn under the world and die, we believe they would have had they not immediately logged out. The game must have done a block check and teleported them to the "safest" block when they logged out and back in. There was no lava present during this issue.
3. In the third instance a new player was joining the Realm for the first time.
During spawn the player repeatedly spawned into the Realm and "fell" through the blocks and died. The death message was "player fell out of the world". I physically watched the players gammer tag rapidly descend through the blocks and out of the world three times in a row. There was no lava present. The player was eventually able to log in successfully.
4. In the fourth instance player was building in the nether and was disconnected from server under the same conditions as the 1st and 2nd instances.
I was building in the nether when I was disconnected from the Realm. Upon logging, I fell through the blocks below me. However I did not fall out of the world. Instead, I landed on nether rack 20+ blocks below where I was standing. When I looked up to see how far I had fallen, the entire chunk above me was missing. I was standing on a single block next to a large lava lake. I'm not sure if this is related to the other instances because I did not fall out of the world, but I did fall through solid blocks.
This bug is worse than the first bug in 1.9 where players were logging in and falling to there death because there's no way to prevent the death from occurring. Our players are loosing all of their gear and equipment. We reset the Realm to a previous back up to recover his stuff, but this is an unacceptable solution as other players loose their progress in the game. There is no way to prepare for the occurrence of this bug, IE. removing armor and valuables from inventory before logging out, logging out before death occurs, water drops to prevent death, etc. This is game breaking.
Please let me know if I need to create a separate bug report for the instances where players are spawning into solid blocks or through solid blocks and landing on other solid blocks in different locations.
We will attempt to get screen shots or video of this occurring if/when it happens again and I will update this report.
I can confirm this is still an issue as is BDS-19101
We are running a BDS server with 6 cores and it's maxing out or CPU on multiple cores when people go into the Nether.
