WIthin the past few days, my world has been experiencing severe lag making the game unplayable, This is is when there is only one person in the server. Once a second player logs in, mobs, entities, and other game mechanics will have 2-3 second delays.

I have the same problem!I have the exactly same problem even I run the bds on a 5.1Ghz intel core i7-10700kf,some times server just goes crazily laggy,mobs moves very slowly and the redstone works very slowly as well,and this problems shows randomly.But when this problem appears,the CPU usage is not very high，which is very annoying.Please fix this and please optimize the performance of BDS in the next version!If even a i7-10700k can't run a bds well,then which kind of CPU can????Don't mess up the server owners just because the server software is in an alpha version,we do really care about our servers and players!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow that was technical LOL. Since you play with someone else, check your WiFi. If that doesn’t work, go to settings and turn the render distance low, and same with fancy graphics and view bobbing. These add more effect to the game, but if you want speed, turn them off.
