Hi! i went into my server and i had big neat square chunks in my world and i have no idea why it is doing this, please help T^T

this also happened to me, after a power outage in middle of playing, i went back into minecraft since it turned off my ps4 then i went into a survival world and saw empty chunks, i ignored them at first and then went to see if they were unloaded and i fell right through into the void. i was playing with someone else since it was their world. so when i left and rejoined, the chunks appered again for no reason. my wifi was bad at that time so im not sure if it was my wifi, minecraft, or my ps4
