While going through the nether portal the sound of someone attacking started, but no mobs were around. I died before going through portal and lost all items. Nothing dropped for me to return and pick up. I lost many valuable items,
Enchanted diamond sword with fire aspect and unbreaking being the most valuable.

I would like to know if you were playing on a multiplayer world as this has been reported several times of people losing items on death especially on multiplayer.
