Items Spawning at random positions after death

I was playing on a single player world and died, since I was on the Nintendo Switch version, I took a video of my death to know the coordinates, I went back to the exact coordinates and my items were no where to be found, I searched around for a while and found them in the middle of the ocean, (outside of my base) I found that really wierd and znnoying, so I reported it
