When I save and close the world it gets stuck on the "saving please don't turn off your console" screen

I have been thru something like this. Sometimes when i save and quit, it looks like it works normally, but when i rejoin all my progress is gone (including the progress i made yesterday, the day before and so on). I play on an iPad. Would really love a solution.
