After the most recent Bedrock update, nether portals are working. However, there is a new bug when you try to go through a portal with one or two birds on your shoulder. The sound of the portal occasionally occurs as if you would be teleporting, but nothing happens. But as soon as you take the birds off your shoulder and leave them in the nether or overworld, you can teleport through the portal on your own without issue.
