I was died and all my items disappeared. Interestingly, the only items that I recovered was my armor, it being the whole set. I was building an iron farm and accidentally hit a villager, which in case caused the three iron golems to kill me. Luckily, I did use the villagers beds, setting my spawn about 5 blocks from the place that I died. But, my whole inventory, except armor, disappeared. Since it didn’t took me a single minute to recover my items, and I was able to find my armor, the items didn’t naturally despawn. Other information: I was in a corner, touching blocks. There were villagers next to me, and I was 1 block away form a group of beds. (I play on IOS in the latest version).
What I can say about it:
Because I was able to recover my armor, this seems to indicate a pattern. Villagers being able to collect all items except armor would explain it, but since (at least to my knowledge) they only collect food, this is improbable. Another explanation would be that my inventory got wiped, and my armor, which I was using, didn’t.
What happened? (I did find other people with the same problem. In this case, being killed by Iron Golems and losing their items)
