If you have enchanted pants (any kind) and put elytra on it will be almost invisible if you're not holding anything.
I actually think it looks really cool, meabye adding a command to make it invisible on different scales?

This was fixed in MC-98327 for 1.9.2 . Are you sure to have 1.9.2 running ?
Please attach the same screenshot as before with debug screen (F3) enabled.
