Rabbits hopping over fences

Sometimes rabbits will jump over fences.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Build a small fenced in area

  2. Spawn in or capture some rabbits

  3. Breed the rabbits, while not being in the pen.

  4. Make sure you are in survival mode (/gamemode survival)

  5. Move around outside the pen backing away.

  6. Watch as some of the baby rabbits will jump over the fence.

Not A Bug
Rabbits do jump higher then 1 block.

Not only baby habbits, adult habbit too, they jump the fence when player approaches

Can confirm that this still happens in Minecraft 1.12, on Mac OS Sierra, with Java 8 runtime. A detailed description of how this happens is I will enter a rabbit pen(enclosed securely with fences) with dandelions to breed them. When I still have dandelions in hand they are fine; but when I run out of dandelions after feeding the rabbits, they panic and some rabbits(both adult and baby rabbits can) near the edge of fences will leap right over the fence, and interestingly, will be seen/heard getting hurt(the red animation and sound) upon hitting the surrounding walls(they jump right at the walls) outside the fence

I'm having this issue in 1.12.2 and have been since rabbits were released... It's very frustrating.

Confirmed for 1.13.1.
