When I try to connect to a server it says...(shown in picture)
THE VERSION for this server is 1.8.3 but I can log in with 1.8.8 shouldn't matter.
THERE WASNT A 1.8.8 version just 1.9
What I expected to happen was...:
I just want to connect to a server.
What actually happened was...:
In for a second then get this message.

😡😡😡😡 REALLY THAT DOESN'T HELP!!! Got my hopes up for nothing. Was there an error message like this during 1.8.9 and did it get solved? Saw someone had this problem on THEIR server but I'm trying to connect to a public server and I don't have a way to contact any admins.
Your version of Minecraft is no longer supported. We are currently only accepting bugs found in the official release 1.9.4.
