Sticky piston issue.

When I tried to make a sticky piston device for powering something, I found a bug. When I had a sticky piston pointing up, with a redstone block on top, when I powered it and tried to retract it, I found that it wold not retract. (see photo) I also tried restarting my minecraft, and it didn't resolve it's self.
