When I clicked Play, a tab called 'Game Output' opened...

What I expected to happen was...:
I was hoping to play.

What actually happened was...:
I couldn't play.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I opened minecraft
2. ......I clicked play
3. .............It opened a new tab and not allow me to play

I updated my java, I don't know what else it could be. I'm not really good with computers and just recently got minecraft. If I could get some help that would be greatly appreciated.
