Minecraft runs smooth and normally exept when I join a multiplayer server in which case the game crashes and displays this message

After reading the article this was resolved a duplicate of, I followed the link to update my Graphics card but Acer was not listed as an option. Please resolve with answer to the Acer issue.

I do not feel that the issue was fixed by the bot, if a moderator could shed some light than I may actually be able to play multiplayer.
Then look and follow the steps at MC-32606.
