Skin bug

So recently when I updated my Minecraft i noticed something wrong. I was playing a game with my friend on Hypixel and I had noticed everyone had the skin of a Steve or Alex. I asked my friend and he said they're skins were perfectly fine. So I decided to change my skin to a different one. After i designed the skin and I was happy with it I uploaded the skin to my account. Everything was fine until I logged on. I joined a server and I turned into a Steve. My skin wasn't loading and so was nobody else's. I got confused onto why this happened. I asked my friend again and he said that my skin loaded and everyone else's did. I don't know what happened but please if you have any help or if you know how to fix this please tell me
