upon opening a single player minecraft world the game loads until it actually has to show the environment, and then immediately crashes. so the only image you get before the crash is just sky blue, no terrain or mobs etc. loaded, just sky. the game crashes after one, maybe two, seconds of this.
this game breaking bug has been there since minecraft went past 1.7.4.
