piston duplication bug

i am making a piston slime block lift/elevator and i was messing on with the repeater delays and i pressed the button to fire the piston and the slime block and the piston pushing up stayed in the same position as well as the slime block but the piston pushing up was duplicated, i have the piston pushing out on the block with the slime block, you will see the setup in the video supplied
