Cannot reproduce the main issue. The other issue described in the ticket is MC-155046.

Don't think that's intended. The recipe preview should disappear. Updating ticket description.

The fact that the cursor doesn't get moved may be due to MC-54194. However, on my system, the cursor does move, but to the right (which might also be MC-54194...). Do you mind if we change your report to "shift-F3-F4 doesn't cycle backwards"?

I hope this isn't WAI because being able to use a sword to frantically put out fire without destroying your builds in creative was very useful.

Attached launcher log of me opening a freshly created 1.15.2 superflat with structures disabled in 1.16-pre4, flying to the edge of existing chunks, placing some blocks where chunks should have generated, save & quit to title, and rejoining the world to make sure the newly placed blocks are still there.

Can still reproduce using the following steps:

1. Create new superflat world with the default preset, creative mode, generate structures off, in 1.15.2.
2. Open the world in 1.16-pre2 and fly to unexplored chunks
3. Observe chunks generating empty

Fixed in 20w19a or before, probably together with MC-176521 in 20w17a.

Suggested fix: level 1 redstone doesn't show dust connecting vertically to level 0 dust as powered.

That's a different issue. My ticket is about changes not being saved, not about which screen you land on when you hit esc.
