When you leave the nether in Minecraft Version 18w50a you spawn in the overworld with your head directly beneath the base of the portal at the same y-axis like the portal post with the larger x-coordinate.

Dear Michael,
that problem that I respawn under the portal after leaving the Nether is not fixed yet in the current snapshot version 19w13b either. I respawned just at the same spot as I did it the previous time in the snapshot version 18w50a as you can see in the following picture.
