Using the gamemode switcher while holding the shift key doesn't work as expected

When you hold shift while using the gamemode switcher, you can’t move the selector backwards with F4.

How to reproduce:

1. Press and hold F3

2. Press F4
2. Hold down shift
3. Press F4 again

Observed & Expected Result:

❌ - The selector moves forward to the next gamemode.
✔ - The selector would move backwards to the previous gamemode.

This is a problem I've noticed a lot lately, not just with the new menu, or the 1.16 snapshots. There is probably a report for this already, but if you pressing 3 keys at the same time, they either don't work, or respond in a way you didn't expect, like you have reported here.

Dawn: That's something inherent to keyboards, although higher quality ones may have less issues with it.

Just holding down 2 extra keys causes F4 to not work (but doesn't affect my cursor). Those 2 keys are actually specific. For example if I press Shift + V then F4 still works, but Shift + B makes F4 not work.

Does MC-54194 describe your issue? If so, then this is a hardware limitation and is not caused by Minecraft.

The fact that the cursor doesn't get moved may be due to MC-54194. However, on my system, the cursor does move, but to the right (which might also be MC-54194...). Do you mind if we change your report to "shift-F3-F4 doesn't cycle backwards"?

I am not having the issue where I can’t move while holding shift and tab. For me the cursor in the game mode switcher doesn’t move at all when holding shift. The cursor should be moved backwards when holding shift.

I can confirm in 24w07a that the gamemode selector does not move left when holding shift. I'd like to request ownership of this issue.
