if you have a entity wearing a blast protection armor peace level 9+ and it gets blasted (for example by tnt or creeper), it will gain alot of velocity towards the blast instead of away. at level 9 it gets sucked just a little bit but at levels higher, like on level 1000 blast protection the entity gets so much velocity that it disapears into the distance passing the tnt.
this is likely due to blast protection giving knockback resistance to blasts. when the level of the enchantment excedes past intended values, the knockback turns negative and the entity is launched back instead of not going anywhere.
i tested this on a server(runned on my machine) with my friend, but it also works in singleplayer.
