Invisible Passenger on 1.10.2

When far away from another player, they will become invisible on their mount and appear stuck at the place they rode it. This can be "refreshed" by unmounting and remounting when near a player.

Picture shows a player jumping, but player is invisible. They player model is stuck back where it mounted the horse. This has apparently been a major issue since 1.9.
