When using lava bucket as fuel ressource, the smelting process starts, but you dont get an empty bucket back.

Also when smelting with a lava bucket, the smelted items do not grant any experience when removed from the furnace. Coal seems unaffected.
@unknown I'm not seeing the same issue. You might be experiencing MC-106030 if you shift-clicked the items into your inventory from the lava bucket smelting.
