Cannot reproduce. Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.

My son says it first happened when he opened a snapshot for 1.9 (but forgot when it was, it was a while back he said), but didn't inform me until now, so not sure if that helps.

Something seems broken with the language selection. Please re-select a language by eg. switching from English (US) to English (UK) and back again (or vice versa).

Make sure Minecraft is closed and delete the 1.10.2 folder, .minecraft/versions/1.10.2, and relaunch the game.

Did that, still no sound, nothing in the language menu. Even went as far as to delete all previous versions I had on my computer. Still no sound

With the latest update, the game started to play sound. Now unfortunately, my Java(TM) SE Binary stops working, causing me to restart the game, until I can finally get to into the game. I have only been able to attempt to load a new game, as the game freezes at the "building terrain" stage, causing me to force close it, where the launcher only states "sorry you experienced a crash"

No I have not experienced that. The only indication I get for a reason for the crash (if I get one at all) only ever says Java(TM) SE Binary has stopped working

One of the symptoms of the broken nvidia driver is in fact Java(TM) SE Binary has stopped working. An updated driver is available right now.

I gave it a shot, ended up having to update my Java, then to try to download the graphics driver only to have an error message state that it cannot download the graphics driver because of my version of windows.... So did it basically just say that until I can get a different computer, one that is not an all-in-one, my computer will not be able to run Minecraft for the foreseeable future?

im having the same issue, with the only affected versions i can see being 11.1 and 11.2 says "missing pack.mcmeta" in the defalt resource pack, and no sound in game or at any of the menus where there usually is sound. updated java, deleted the 11.1 and 11.2 versions and relaunched - no success

try delete version folder (.minecraft/version/{version}) and also indexes folder (.minecraft/assets/indexes/{version})

if you will run version again, files will be re-installed
