I wanted to start the game and for the main menu to appear after I clicked "Play" in the launcher, but it actually crashed and did not let me to see the main menu.
What I expected to happen was...:

It crashed and did not let me go to the main menu
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open your minecraft launcher
2. Click Play
3. Kaboom
