Cannot Dye Shulker Boxes

When I searched "Shulker" in the creative inventory, I saw that there were many different colors for the Shulker Boxes. However, when I put a plain one in a crafting table with dye, The result is an uncolored (normal) shulkerbox in the output slot. The only difference is the added NBT data tag, which went from 1 to 2.
