You can put enchantment books for swords on armor through anvils.
You can put enchantment books for bows on armor through anvils.
You can put enchantment books for armor on bows through anvils.
You can put enchantment books for swords on bows through anvils.
etc, this is the same for tools, items and blocks.
I expected it to do nothing like in the versions before, but i was actually able to put the enchantment on the armor.

Yes but i will do some more testing 😛, yup i found out its only for creative but it didn't really seem like a intentional feature and now im wondering why it is possible in creative.. what's the purpose?
You can do this in Creative, which may well be intended behaviour, and isn't specific to 16w39b (also in 1.10.2 and 16w39a).
In Survival this behaves as expected, with enchantments such as sharpness not being an option in an anvil for armour.
