If pistons push an end crystal off its obsidian pillar while it's respawning the dragon, the end crystal will be completely invulnerable after the dragon respawns (or after the respawn sequence is interrupted). It can only be destroyed by players in Creative mode.
How to reproduce
Kill the Ender Dragon
Respawn the dragon by placing an end crystal on each of the four sides of the fountain
Wait until you see an end crystal on a pillar get targeted and replaced
Use pistons to push that crystal off its obsidian pillar
Wait for the dragon to respawn
❌ The crystal continues to emit a beam into the skyTry to destroy the crystal while in Survival mode
❌ The crystal is invulnerable

For some reason I recieved an email saying that this bug report is reopened. But I did not see the same issue in 1.16.1. Sorry for a very late reply.
We have had other users reproduce and report this as well, so the ticket has been reopened because of that.
Sorry again. I forgot what I posted here. This is clearly happenning in 1.16.1. I can still reproduce this.
dragon egg will still after killing this enderdragon which end crystal did not spawn correct although this is not the first time I kill the dragon
