As you can see in the screenshot, both in your hand and in an item frame the texture does not cover completely the rod

Not a dupe, MC-1794 is about blocks and ALL the blocks, while this is an issue only with the fishing rod model/texture
In my opinion, you can flag this a a dupe of MC-46212 but it shouldn't have been closed
