[MC-112349] missing pack.mcmeta

What I expected to happen was...:
I should here sound when I play minecraft but I don't hear sound when I play minecraft.

What actually happened was...:
I don't hear sound i go to resourcepacks it says "missing pack.mcmeta" it's in red

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put a step by step guide on how to trigger the bug here

Invalid. You have a missing pack.mcmeta in your standard Minecraft Default resource pack

"The first thing you'll need is a pack.mcmeta file. This lets Minecraft know that the folder is a resource pack and it also allows you to customize the description that appears when you're selecting which resource pack" http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Creating_a_resource_pack

Also, you're using mods. This bug tracker is for the vanilla game only.

Yes so but it still doesn't work without laby mod on so this isn't resolved

and plus I don't want to make a resourcepack I just want to get the mcmeta pack thing and get this fixed
