please make villagers smarter - able to climb ladders and assign themselves to a 'home' building or house door in pairs ( for breeding)
if no doors are available then they should double up in the largest building(home) space
(
they should more intelligently know what is inside and outside ( detect 4 walls and a roof not just a door block and a floor block and roof block on one square
they should be able to navigate the same as a player - including opening gates and pressing buttons (but not iron ones )
add a dignostic tool to see the center of town and its borders (like the structure block) (crafted prefferably or purchased from the village elder )
and as a bonus a few new vilagers :
BUILDER villager : wants blocks and emeralds whcih it willtrade with otehr villagers to get supplies to build blueprints that you unlock with trades
these blueprints should be picturebooks of layers or coded letters to indicate what blocks go where that it willtry to build
VillageELDER : trades to give you village markers (special fenceposts that you place to mark areas for builders and a plan post (podium) that you apply the blueprint to to get the builder to work
also may provide trades to other villagers for what they want to do things
if you were to take elder away plus a builder you would have the seed to start your own town.. .anywhere - and depending on the realm (nether/biome/endarea) would give you different plans and different materials requests..
(perhaps a rare builder that will want to build a HUGE castle .. based on schematics .. like the ones saved using the structure blocks ? )
VillageEnchanter- wants lapis and other things to rarely but randomly make books enchanted and sells them strength depending on tiem in the town)
golems : should more smartly be aggressive and not spawn inside chests and walls or under water - or walk into water or fall in the wells (this is often)
they should try to patrol path blocks or ground that is player made (not grass or dirt. but cobble or wood)
in general villager behavior should mimic their trade
perhaps if the butchers always tried to go to the butcher shops
and the clerics to the churches. and you cant spawn then/breed them unless your 'builder' has built that plot of land
ie farmers should almost always assign themselves to separate farms if they can and spend most of their time there (and the closest house)
FIX the blacksmith shop that if you put a door on it it does not become the suicide of your town ( all villagers die in that building in a single zombie wave)
villagers should pickup weapons and if holding one use them ( or if trades use the hoes and such to defend themselves by knocking back a mob and then running or calling a golem for help at least... to often golem is standing next to villagers and dies before golem engages)
