The bug
The GUI of a brewing stand is not centered, see also Cannot be unseen (reddit post).
The slots in the center of the brewing stand are not above the center slots of the player inventory but instead one pixel shifted to the left.

A quick video, visualizing the totality of all 3 "OCD problems" with the 17w06a brewing stand, compared with the fixed version I just made.
But even the corrected version still bears further "OCD problems":
The distance from the "smelting pot" (with the bubbles above it) to the neighbouring graphical elements is 1 Pixel for the most left bottle square and 2 Pixels for the "filling tube" to the right of it.
Furthermore, due to the size of the squares and the glass bottles, the bottles cannot be centered in the first place; the distance to the left/right will always be 1 Pixel apart (3 vs. 4 Pixels).
The only thing centered is the blaze powder outline in the square.
The tubes leading from the ingredient slot are also offset (1 pixel left, 2 pixel distance to the right) etc. pp.
As I don't dare to fiddle even more with a Default Vanilla graphics, I'll leave it at the normal corrected "OCD" state (centered + arrow 1 pixel higher + bubble 1 pixel lower); regardless, I'm also attaching my transparent GUI version where I tried to cope with the graphics being offset; maybe it helps, in case you'd consider to make the brewing stand completely "OCD proof".
With my transparent GUI graphics, the middle is not centered as well, the arrow is also 1 too low, the uppermost bubble is also 1 too high, but I couldn't move it or the slots would have been offset. But within that offset-problem, my graphics is mostly "OCD proof", as best as it can be.
PS: In case you're wondering whether I'm making fun of this topic:
Nope, I'm in the Autism spectrum, so i can get that "OCD annoyance" very well 😉 And I know many who feel the same. So thanks in advance for fixing it 🙂
@unknown CrazyLady reply: I have to or else my sorta-OCD is going to drive me completely insane ;_;
😉 But to be honest, I learnt to deal with non-OCD-stuff, as I know the majority of people don't feel it as being nearly physically "painful" as people like I do, so I usually "swallow" inconsistencies, to not annoy others (I already come off "weird" enough as it is 😉), and because I try to cope with my weaknesses and become "normal".
But when I saw this bugpost of yours, it encouraged me to write down all the "annoyances" (and more by now ;_; ) while I fiddled with GUI packs }xD
It's valid inconsistencies after all, but my main reason is that, if your bugpost gets resolved, then I want to have ALL GUIs fixed in one single go, so the resourcepack makers don't have to rework their GUIs over and over again, bit by bit, as soon as someone discovered a new inconsistency or offset etc., that's why I engage myself now as good as I can with that overview bugpost, so everyone can do the changes once and be done with (aside from future additions or changes to existing GUIs) 🙂
Thank you for your offer, I could overtake it.. but as I try to make a complete overview about all ingame GUIs, wouldn't it be better that I'd simply add the brewing stand info into my bugpost and resolve/close this in favour of the big overview post?
One bugpost less 😉
Have a good weekend (and the other guys and gals as well 🙂)
kk, I was just adding another chunk of info to the bugpost, it should be now complete as for the inconsistencies and "non-OCD-things", just missing now all the graphics of the issue visualization and how it'd look like after the proposed changes 🙂
And of course now also a more elaborate brewing stand info 😉
Thanks to you two 🙂
I also noticed the Offset when I worked on a GUI resourcepack module; if you're at it, please consider putting the uppermost "bubble" 1 Pixel lower, as it's 1 Pixel higher than the square with the blaze powder and where to insert the ingredient in the middle.
Also, the arrow to the right where you can see the progress bar is 1 Pixel too low, which I find even worse (see attached screenshot).
In case I can come up with a decent optical solution, I'll post a new/corrected OCD-proof Default brewing stand png as well, if you don't mind.
