This also happens with boats, minecart not on rails and what seems like any entity.
You have to enter the "vehicle" at the peak of your jump for it to happen.

Occurs in 1.15.2 also, can be constantly reproduced by jumping and immediately going to bed while in the air, takes about 10-20 seconds and you will get kicked almost every single time.

Can confirm the bug is still active in 1.15.2! Player on our server has been kicked three times in fifteen minutes, when he wasn't even jumping when getting into the bed.

This bug has been fixed in 20w17a, which is a development version of Minecraft 1.16.
