The bug

Sometimes when you sleep, you are kicked out of the server for "Flying is not enabled on this server".

How to reproduce

  1. Have a server with flying not enabled

  2. Place a bed

  3. Wait until night (or use /time set night)

  4. Jump and right click (sleeping jumping)

  5. Wait a short moment

Is this server being hosted locally, or remotely?

Locally. Playing from a local IP (joining with my local IP, not my public IP).

Not sure if helpful or not, but just happened again.

Can confirm for vanilla 1.12.2.

Confirmed for server 18w01a (encountered while jumping around, tried multiple times)

This bug probably relates to MC-148370.

Occurs in 1.15.2 also, can be constantly reproduced by jumping and immediately going to bed while in the air, takes about 10-20 seconds and you will get kicked almost every single time.

Can confirm the bug is still active in 1.15.2! Player on our server has been kicked three times in fifteen minutes, when he wasn't even jumping when getting into the bed.

This bug has been fixed in 20w17a, which is a development version of Minecraft 1.16.
