The tooltips of potions like #373 (weakness) shows 3:00 in the tooltip but when I get hit by one from a dispenser the duration of the debuff lasts only 50 seconds. But it should be 3 minutes?

The duration is less the farther you are from the impact point. I just verified that if you are directly hit by the splash potion, you get the full duration.
Hi I am experiencing something strange in the newest release 1.8.3. The /effect command treats the seconds like milliseconds for example I found that giving an effect for 20 [seconds] is actually only giving me the effect for roughly 1 second. It happened after I put in for 600 seconds and after that it doesn't treat the seconds like seconds for some reason.
EDIT: I realized that it was happening with the saturation. But then I found out the saturation duration will be cancelled if the bar is full. My apologies. One of those duh moments I have.
This is intended. If the potion splashes right in your face you WILL get the 3:00. The more your face is away from the potion splash, the less time the potion effects will stay active
