[MC-115269] Can't craft books

Book recipe (3 paper + 1 leather) doesn't do anything in the crafting table or inventory. Searching for "book" in the in-game crafting guide yields no results.

Exact same thing for me.I even tried getting the recipe using commands and it said it dosn't know.
