Using Sethblings MCEdit filters, I combined a firework and a minecart into an entity in which the minecart rides the firework, then attempted to load the game with it in. Game loads fine until it attempts to do anything with the entity I created. Deleted it using MCEdit, map loads fine with standard FPS. Tried spawning it in again, get less than 1 frame every 5 seconds... Debug Screen (F3) displays standard FPS readouts, even though FPS is less than 1.
In case you're wondering, I wanted to make an epic rocket. 😛

i think its when any entity is riding a firework entity i tried having a villager spawn from a spawner riding a firework entity and it slows down my game to the point i have to force close it.
im going to add my schematic as well
As I stated in another report, if you want to do stupid stuff with spawners and MCEdit, you accept the consequences of your actions.
If Mojang knew that bad things like this wouldn't happen, then they'd allow you to do it without external programs.
(My comment in MC-12611)
They mean entities like Mobs. Entities are a vast category of things in the game. Not all entities are designed to do this one particular thing, such as Fireworks, Snowballs, and Paintings (Which are all entities!)
FireHunter, when you said the thing that you stated in another report, its completely invalid. If they didn't want us doing cool things like this, why would they add functionality for Mob entities to ride other ones? The ONLY way the functionality can be used is with external programs, so please, stop talking out of your backend.
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.6.2 / Launcher version 1.1.3 ? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
Just tested and this bug is no longer applicable, thanks for bringing it up Tails. Can you please close this?
Added schematic which has the spawner I was hoping I could use, but causes the lag.
