Woodland mansions will not generate when biome size is changed (anything different than 4). I tried it with customized wold on and biome size 3 - failed to generate mansion, biome size 5 - failed to generate mansion, biome size 4 -no problems.
It's not that the mansion should be in a specific spot but just not generate. There are no woodland explorer maps from villagers and the /locate command produces an extremely large lag and the message: "Unable to locate any Mansion feature". I tried the command even 300000 blocks apart in every direction. There are no mansions.

I retried it with 5 new worlds. I am still not able to get mansions when I change the biome size. Would it help if I record a video?
PS: I am using the old launcher (with the new one I can't open LAN-Wolds) and the game directory is changed to D:\

A video indeed would help. Please make sure to have the debug screen open (hit the F3 key) in Minecraft while recording the video. Also might issue the /seed
command at the beginning of the video.

Ok, I can reproduce it with sizes 1 and 2, but not with others. Does it happen with the seed I posted before or can you give example seeds that are affected with size 3 and/or 5?

I created quite a few worlds but unfortunatly, it seems that I can't reproduce it either. Maybe I was just "lucky" the other day. But I am 100 % sure that I created a size 3 and a size 5 world where I had that bug. I know that, because that was the moment I decided to register and open a bug report here.
But that means that size 1 and 2 are defenitly bugged?

It means that mansions can't be in small biomes, most likely because they don't fit in them. This may be a bug, or may be an intended behaviour. We can reduce the ticket to only these two sizes and wait for the answer from the devs.
In case you would find reproducible way for it to happen with other sizes, you could create a new ticket (because it doesn't always happen, if it ever happens).

I am having this problem too (1.12)
Mansions don't generate in biome sized one and two, and they generate less often in biome size three (50k blocks from spawn vs 20k blocks)

Can confirm this issue with biome size 2 in Minecraft 1.12.1 of Java version!
The changed/smaller biome size also affects the cartographers: They won't sell woodland explorer maps, which probably is caused by the missing generation of woodland mansions.

I am also getting "Unable to locate any mansion feature" when I use /locate mansion on a default world in Java 1.8 version. I did use a specific seed, but didn't change the biome size or any other settings.

Mansions still generates with biome size 3 in 1.12.2 but can hardly be located( which would cause a large lag) and cartographers don't sell woodland explorer maps and cartographers' fourth trade loads extremely slowly. I can still occasionally locate some( at least 2 in my seed so far) after tp randomly to somewhere very far(like 1000000,100,1000000)
