Do you have an AMD graphics card? Then this is a duplicate of MC-62958 (you should be able to work around it by updating drivers and turning on VBOs). If you have another graphics card, then I don't have the link on hand but in most cases it can also be fixed by updating drivers and toggling VBOs.
