Shift-Click uses stack

I had a stack and 5 bones in my inventory ant I put 5 bones in my inventory crafter and shift clicked, I expected it to make the recipe 5 times, giving me 15 bonemeal, but instead it did a whole stack of bones, giving me 3 stacks of bonemeal
