This is still an issue and seems it’s being ignored. It’s preventing me from doing things with whitelists and on another server preventing plugins from working that request information.

This also (from what i've seen) affects chests when a players nametag is over it, like if I would be looking down through a players nametag from a chest, then I would see through the chest.

I still don't know how to fix the bug and it is getting really annoying, I've had time where I'm doing stuff in water and a drowned zombie appears out of nowhere and it's terrifying

Ya, i had the same problem but I could not get past the loading screen instead it just kept flashing from the red Mojang screen to a black screen.

Yes, it appears near the hotbar, though sometimes it may appear near the top of the screen.

I can check whether or not it occurs on 1.16.3, however it may take a while because it randomly occurs
