(yes, technically this is related to mods, but it seems like bug fits here)
I created a mod for minecraft 1.12 and created some recipes for basic items. When trying to find the recipe in the recipe book, it does not appear, which should happen, since I can actually craft the item.
The screenshot shows the item being able to be crafted, but not searched for.

Yes, questions about mods you should ask in modding community, not here.
Although I have a tip for you: don't forget to create an advancement that unlocks that recipe =)

The Recipe Book is made around Vanilla Minecraft, not Mods. Although maybe the Mod Developers could add in these recipes to the book.
