[MC-118930] Cannot craft anything on 1.12 servers

Trying to craft anything on a multiplier server doesn't work. Advancements also dont pop up and only say that there is nothing there. This bug was apparently fixed in bug MC-114883 from version 17w13b but somehow has made it into the release. This is obviously a game breaker.
UPDATE: I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO NOTE THAT CRAFTING RECIPES DO NOT UNLOCK. Example: Picking up a log doesn't unlock the planks recipe.

Please force a crash by holding F3+C in-game for 10 seconds, then attach the crash report here found in [.minecraft|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/guides/finding-minecraft-data-folder/]/crash-reports/crash-DATE-client.txt.

Ask the server owner if doLimitedCrafting is set to true.
