No recipes unlocking on server

I can concur nothing is there or works, for e.g. making sticks

I can confirm,
crafting seems to be completly impossible in multiplayer.

bug persists both on newly made servers as well as old ones that get updated

Please prioritize this bug as: "BLOCKER"
Details:

• Even adding the vanilla advancements to the 'advancements' folder inside the data folder inside the world folder, does not fix the problem.

• (With the vanilla advancements ADDED to data folder) Trying to give yourself a recipe will result in an JSON error. (see attachment)

• Clicking Statistics on server (esc menu) will indefinitely try download stats.

• No advancements show up on server. empty pane

I can confirm bug exists on Windows 7. What I tried:

took my 17w06a jar and replaced it with 17w13a on my server.

Loads the existing world fine. But gives the following error:

Upon entering the world with a previous player complains about missing stats.

Contents of my \advancements\ json is this:

{}

Never changes. Breaking a log of any type does not give the recipes. Jumping in water does not give the recipes.

Tried this is both a freshly generated world and my existing world.

In Singleplayer I notice that breaking logs and jumping in water does unlock recipes.
