This might duplicate MC-83353, however, that issue has already been marked as resolved.

MC-83353 was resolved as Works As Intended aka "not a bug"

@SunCat but why would everyone want to see the world warp and shake without the overlay?

The ticket has been resolved as "Works As Intended" by @unknown.
