I play on a multiplayer server, and when players come trough a portal, they become invisible or it looks like they fly, or they duplicate, i don't think it's server lagg, because its a small server with +/- 5 people maximum online at the same time, and we haven't got any server lagg before, so i thought i would report it as a bug
And it solves itselves when one of the 2 players relogs
EDIT : When a player enters the nether through a portal : it looks like the player is under the floor(the floor is made from half slabs and there is air beneath the half slabs) And when a player enters the overworld through a portal, thats when the player becomes invisible or gets duplicated

I've experienced a similar issue. When players enter/leave the nether through a portal, each player is invisible for about 30 seconds and then reappear. Vanilla server - no mods, 1.5.2.
Just had this "invisible player problem" when traveling through a Nether Portal in SMP. One player turns invisible and his name tag looks like he's under the floor or flying around, even when he's standing next to me. Someone update the "affects versions" to 1.6.2 ?
Confirmed.
It appears that when entering the Nether, other players appear to float in mid air, they cannot be shot or hit from their ghost position, from my POV, I am in a perfectly normal position.
This is the other way around when leaving the Nether, players appear underground but I seem completely fine.
My friends also have claimed seeing the same effect on me.
Can also confirm this. Happens when using travelling through nether portals or using the tp command. The player is effectively there, as I can take damage from him, however I just don't see him. Using vanilla sever and clients, 1.6.2. Java is updated to the latest public version on both machines.
