can't see barrier blocks while holding one in hand

I'm sorry if this isn't a bug and is a new "feature" but when placing barrier blocks you can't see them afterwards while holding the barrier block in your hand still.

Have you made sure that you have activated particles?

I didn't know my particles were on minimal. This is why, sorry for the not bug and this can be closed.
