Chunks Load in a really weird way. I think my slow machine may have something to do with it, but I am not sure. The chunks around me load in, but the ones in front of me don't. Also, there are big areas of missing chunks.

Yep, I took a look at MC-123779, It's basically the same problem.
As you haven't uploaded a screenshot showing your problem, it's not that easy to determine what your exact issue is.
From reading your description it sounds a lot like MC-123779. Please attach a screenshot of the missing chunks with debug screen (F3) activated.
