Hello! Sorry, I didn't clarify what I mean: first, stand up on the ground under water, then walk, and orient your view slighly down. You will be able to walk under water on the ground (everything happens on the ground), and if you start to sprint with hitting CTRL, the character should run under water, but, instead, he turns in swimming mode (but the behaviour of the model and the camera shaking acts like it should). If you can't reproduce, I can show you a recording.
I was able to reproduce yesterday on Windows 8.1, Java 1.8.0_161; the player was sprinting with the swimming animation, which causes the camera to shake as if the player was running on land.
If you don't know how to, here are the details:
Find a pool of water
Jump into it while sprinting to enter the "swimming mode"
Make sure your y(?) rotation is greater than 0
(aka looking down, recommended between 0.0 and 10.0)Try to walk on the bottom of the pool while in swimming mode to trigger.
If you're still unable to reproduce, I can attach a video recording.
This does not only affect you if you use enchanted boots. I just discoverd this has been reported already before: MC-125530. Closed this report as a duplicate of that one.
I'm not able to reproduce this. When I try to sprint underwater, I automatically enter swimming mode.
