End cities are not generating in the End. A friend and I explored for a while using spectator mode when we realised that no End Cities were spawning. Together, we probably explored around 5000 square meters.

This is not a duplicate, the referenced bug report states malformed or incomplete Cities. Ann's report, which I ran into and spent 2 days looking for, finally using the /locate EndCity command (I'm in survival and don't want to use any of these commands). I went to 1304 y? 440 as it showed and there is nothing there. This is not the same issue as you tried to point out. This is different, there is a big difference from partial creation to not creating anything at all and the server thinking it's there. Please re-open and advice, assist us that are seeing this issue. We have seeds, we have spent the hours and we can tell you, there is no end city (any part of an end city) at the coordinates that the server believes there to be one.
Feel free to give me a second command to look for another and I will do so, note, again I'm in survival, so I'm risking stuff running around this void , but I'll do it.

It's probably the same issue. Let us know if the other issue is fixed without your issue getting fixed.

I can tell you that killing the dragon the second time, produced a portal that had the end city and the end ship just one island over. So that was nice. I guess I'm not sure if whenever the aforementioned bug is fixed, if it will regen the ship/city at the first portal automatically? Would think since I've already been all over that area, that it would not regen without reverting the end all together? thanks!

I haven't observed partial End Cities but rather based on generation, are simply not there. This has been the case in both 15a/b and 16a.
Additionally, the same seed used in two wor;ds may or may not contain an end city the same location. This has also been observed with /locate being able to find an end city in one world at a particular set or coordinates but then not in another world with the identical seed. Both with Generate Structures enabled.
While the items above are marked as resolved, I'm uncertain if you're saying it should be resolved in 16a as it is not.

I created a world with seed -9199889882903968586 in 1.12 in both survival and creator mode. In survival mode, I have a city that is only partially generated, clearly at a chunk boundary on one side it is generated, on the other side it's totally not there. Coords are -871,,-901. In survival, those chunks were loaded on 1.12. In creative, perhaps in 1.13? At another location creative has a city, where survival doesn't have one at all, e.g. at coords -1232,,730. In survival those chunks were loaded on 1.13, in creative maybe on 1.12? Not 100% sure.

I'm having the issue stated in the bug report. Using the /locate command, it seems like the average distance between two End Cities is at least 1000 blocks. The "duplicate" bug is about structures that are partially generated. To me, this seems like a different bug where end cities are generating but very rarely.
In any case, this makes end city loot virtually unobtainable on multiplayer worlds. I hope it's fixed soon.

I have in bedrock on xbox one similiar bug
When i turned peaceful on all endcities dissappeared
Very similar: In my single-player survival, there seems just one tiny, malformed end-city; the staircase is partly missing, it has just 3 rooms which are floating. I have explored around 3000 blocks in all directions, and found no other end city, and no end ships. Please ask if further info will help; I'll watch this issue.
