Help! My minecraft is deleting the 1.12.2 files! What do i do?

I have been playing minecraft for 4 years, starting with the console edition, Now I have the PC edition, with my name being DiamondRedstone8, It's deleting files instead of downloading them, If i try to play mc, it says "Failed to download file. 1.12.2.json," I looked in .minecraft in %appdata% and in versions in 1.12.2 1.12.2.json wasnt there! Plz help 😞
